TV Production for a World Cup of the sport Orienteering. The event was held in Idre, Sweden. Real-world height maps were used to create a digital twin of the landscape. Further, vegetation was generated through the use of orienteering maps, to create vegetation similiar to the actual forest. This allowed to show the audience animations from within the forests of possible routechoices.

By using orienteering maps while showing the 3D twin, understandability could be improved for the audience. The map matches the terrain with height differences and vegetation. Further, by using the map on the landscape a terrain shadow could be created to explain the height differences of an orienteering map.
